Description: In the many years of creating metal artworks, there are not many paired combinations that seem destined to be together... Aluminum/Metal and cobalt blue are perfectly paired. There is something natural, striking and visually pleasing about the pairing of aluminum and cobalt blue. The element of spatial abstractions adds depth and visual interest (the art has perceived “movement” at every angle). Each aluminum and stainless steel piece was hand sheared, burnished and/or polished to add to the overall look along with the fused cobalt glass.
Elements Used: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Fused Glass, lightweight composites and re-purposed hollow core frame. Each element was cut, metal was sheared and etched (both mechanical and hand techniques were used).
Size & Weight: 22½" x 22½” x 2½" - Weighs about 11 pounds. (a bit more when shipped).
Display & Lighting: This artwork is designed for display in an indoor environment. Because of metal's natural reflective nature, a variety of lighting sources will compliment this artwork in aesthetically pleasing ways. This piece is ready to hang as soon as received. A heavy duty mounting bracket(s) is securely attached to the back.
